We help leaders, employees, specialists, and community members work together for the benefit of everyone. Our primary areas of focus are on animal advocacy, long-termism, AI safety, global health and wellbeing, and nonprofits in our neighborhoods.

Careers
By working with Workstream Nonprofit, you’re giving a wide range of nonprofits access to resources beyond what they have in-house. That means that they can do more and have a greater impact without being bogged down by details. In this role, you’ll get to directly interact with some highly influential and effective organizations.
Hiring Manager
WorkStream Nonprofit is hiring a Hiring Manager to own the recruiting engine behind our hiring services. Nonprofits increasingly turn to us to run their hiring from start to finish, and our own team is growing alongside them. You will run the searches we deliver for client organizations and the pipelines for our internal roles, working under our HR Director with autonomy over the day-to-day. Duties will include turning role needs into strong job descriptions, sourcing candidates, screening against rubrics, coordinating interviews, and keeping every candidate moving through to placement.
The role is built to grow. For the right person, it can expand into broader ownership of our hiring services function, including client relationships and HR consulting delivery.
What We Are Looking For
Hands-on, full-cycle recruiting experience, with the ability to run searches independently and keep several pipelines straight at once. Strong written communication for candidate-facing and client-facing correspondence. Comfort working on a small remote team. Nonprofit or small-organization recruiting experience is a plus.
Applications are due by August 31, 2026, and reviewed on a rolling basis, so applying early is encouraged.
Bookkeeper
WorkStream Nonprofit is hiring a part-time bookkeeper to keep our clients’ books accurate and current. We provide fractional operations and financial management to mission-driven nonprofits, and this role protects the financial foundation those organizations run on. You will handle transaction recording, reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, grant reporting, and financial reporting across several client organizations.
We are willing to train the right person. What we need from you is familiarity with basic financial concepts and the drive to learn the rest.
What We Are Looking For
Hands-on bookkeeping or finance experience, with the ability to carry recurring monthly close work for several organizations at once. Accuracy in every entry and reconciliation. The judgment to ask a question instead of guessing when something does not match. Nonprofit accounting experience is a plus.
Applications are due by August 31, 2026, and reviewed on a rolling basis, so applying early is encouraged.
Executive Assistant

We pay $20-$40/hour, dependent on skills, qualifications, niche abilities or knowledge, and location. We do not guarantee steady work – any work that you’d do would be on an as-needed basis as a contractor.
