Why WorkStream exists
Operational challenges are interconnected. The support should be too.

What nonprofit leaders say
Collaborative, practical, and deeply embedded support.
“Deena has been an invaluable partner in keeping CAIS running smoothly during a critical transition period. She stepped in seamlessly and ensured that operations, hiring, and financial processes stayed on track. She played a key role in hiring across multiple areas—including our COO, program manager, communications director, policy lead, and operations associate—helping us build a stronger team. She also handled complex HR challenges with professionalism and care.”

“Deena has a knack for getting to the heart of the matter. She can help you improve how you manage tasks and how you think about your approach as a whole.”

“The GRIP Readiness program provided invaluable clarity and strategic direction for our food rescue organization. Participating in April allowed us to re-evaluate our day-to-day operations and evaluate our long-term impact through a fresh lens, and I appreciated Deena's honesty from an outside perspective.
The external perspective and consulting brought by the WorkStream Nonprofit team was transformative and something we still refer to and use today. They identified operational efficiencies and strategic opportunities we had overlooked, equipping our leadership team with actionable frameworks to scale our food redistribution efforts effectively. For any nonprofit looking to strengthen its foundation and expand its mission, the GRIP Readiness program is an exceptional investment.”

Entry-level operations
Junior Ops Associate
Support our client work across operations, finances, and back-office tasks while you learn how nonprofits run from the inside. One week you might manage a calendar, the next you might clean up a donor database or help plan an event. This is a fully remote contractor role, $15–25 per hour based on location, 20-plus hours a week.
What WorkStream is looking for
Strong organization, clear communication, and reliable follow-through, plus the flexibility to jump between different tasks and clients. Nonprofit experience is a plus, not a requirement.
